Diana's current academic interests include contemporary poetry and creative writing from the mid-twentieth century to the present, including la Generación del 45, with particular attention to questions of form, recurring themes, and the rise of influential female voices. She is also interested in the ways literary study and creative practice inform one another. Her writing has appeared in Contratiempo and in Graphe, UIC’s literary magazine.
