Abstract: 
This talk with cover the methods and results of three recent projects that explore various factors that impact linguistic development during short-term study abroad. Learner factors examined include pre-departure proficiency, amount and type of language contact while abroad, and cognitive flexibility. Additionally, the talk will include a discussion of methodological insights related to data collection and data analysis for longitudinal research.
